DESCRIPTION:
APW - Hamilton, 7J, 18S, nickel OF recase, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, gilt mvt, s#2798. A scarce watch, total production of the 7 jewel Hamilton was 1000 made with all examples produced in a single run between serial numbers 2001 and 3000.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, good gilt tone, few scattered small dark spots to main plate, uneven tone to regulator index, mismatched case screws; dial with faint hl below seconds-register near 5, few negligible flakes to edges of seconds-register, perimeter rub under bezel; excellent hands of mismatched style, hour is closed morning glory style while minute is open morning glory style, tip of minute with oxide; case shows light wear, crudely scribed markings within rear, crudely scribed name and 1901 presentation to cuvette, scattered fine scratches and abrasions to rear, minor marring to band adjacent rear lip, ding to band at 6, few dings to rear, many scattered nicks to bezel and band; tight bow, crown shows light wear and has some up/down play; good glass crystal.
